Windsor Care is one of the UK’s leading independent providers of specialist mental health hospital services for adults and Nursing care.

Windsor Care is located in the tranquil environment of Hurley in Berkshire and offers a homely, welcoming, fulfilling and nurturing environment with outstanding facilities.

Windsor Care services have a dual purpose whereby mental health regulated activities run parallel to a Nursing Home environment, the services cater for the needs of both genders. The accommodation provides spacious rooms which are all en-suite with television lounges, dining areas and extra personal care facilities. All rooms have lockable doors, storage space and lockable cabinets for personal effects or self-administering medication. Windsor Care will be commissioning 4 acute beds.

Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit

Windsor Care hospital will provide a rehabilitation hospital and nursing home services for both genders over the age of eighteen who may have complex mental health needs and in some circumstances physical health needs.

Acute Services

Our Acute Services operate on a 24 hour basis in addition to existing mental health services Apple Hill, will also incorporate a unit designed to provide Acute admissions.

We have built up a reputation for providing successful clinical outcomes for service users who have acute mental health presentations and/or challenging behaviours.

We continue to work closely with referring agencies, discharge teams and other relevant community services and place an emphasis on effective communication between all stakeholders through a multi-disciplinary approach.

Our staff all receive continuous professional development and adhere to a robust training matrix, the majority of which have a background in secure services and acute settings.

We provide services for people who are in need of:

  • Acute services
  • Assessment and Treatment under the Mental Health Act
  • The management of violence and aggression
  • Support and risk management during periods of suicide and/or self-harm behaviour
  • Assessment and treatment following transfer from other services such as prisons, police custody, community services and other Acute services.

We have designed our care programmes to assist in the prompt reduction of acute symptoms with an emphasis on the individual’s health and wellbeing and can further offer environments within our services that operate within a successful rehabilitation framework.
